Probably not a popular veiw here, but I totally loved Mr. Ridge.  He was a hard-ass that's for sure, but you always knew what was expected of you and exactly how he wanted assignments to be completed.  Remember the maps?  Good Lord, he was a stickler on those straight lines you had to make!  And don't even think of looking at the clock to see how much time was left in class (got called out on that one a few times).  I don't think I tried harder in any other class to get a good grade.
