Okay...I'm definitely in denial! 20 years? It can't be! I had drinks with Wendi Robinson last night and she told me about this web-site. Yes, Wendi is still my best friend! I'm looking through this web-site and seem to remember very little from high school. Why is that? Names and faces look very familiar but not much else. Guess that's why I was a "wall flower". So, what I have been up to the last 20 years? Uhmmm...I went to Shoreline Community College and I started to work for a small financial management company that provided seminars to small business owners around the world. I worked there for 14 year...as the company grew, I grew with it becoming their Program Manager/Director. It was a great job as I was fortunate to travel to some amazing places in North America and Australia. While working there I decided to start teaching Group Exercise Classes (Step, Hi/Lo, Body Sculpting) as something fun on the side. That's were I met my husband (at the gym). We meet 1992 but didn't start dating until 1996 (he became my best friend in those 4 years). We married in the Virgin Islands in 1999 and had our son (Triston) in 2001. Once Triston arrived I knew I had to leave my job (did not want to travel and work 40+ hours every week) BUT I was not cut out to be a stay at home mom. I returned to school to become a Licensed Massage Therapist...thought it would a good "mom" job. While in school I started to teach Group Exercise again and got addicted. Before I knew it I was teaching 10 Group Exercise classes a week. In 2002 we bought a beautiful home on an acre of land on Tiger Mountain in Issaquah and I started to do massage for a local gym while continuing to teach. Then Gold's Gym, Redmond arrived! An AMAZING facility with 3 Group Exercise Studios...my dream come true! So, after 16 years of teaching I'm now the GGX Director at Gold's. I continue to teach a variety of classes including BodyPump, BodyCombat, BodyFlow, BodyJam, Cycle, Step, Yoga (you name it...I teach it). I also continue to massage here and there but my passion is fitness (oh...and of course, my husband and my son). :-)
