photos of my kids
Amy Gray By amygray on 5/31/2007

Here are some photos of my kids - they are both wild, crazy, funny and opinionated.  I would have never imagined that I could reasonably function being this tired.

Class of '87
Amy Gray By amygray on 5/29/2007

The mantra seems to be "wow, 20 years!" Life after MHS involved moving to Bellingham for college, staying for grad school, and deciding I need to move to get a job.  There is not a lot of work in B'ham for someone with a graduate degree in political science.  We (my husband Jon and I) moved to Seattle about 11 years ago and we now live in Seattle with our two children - Nathan is 4 and Daphne is 2.  I am a technological dinosaur and will try to figure out who to post some photos of my kids soon.  Nice, quiet, boring life.  Turns out that before Chris Magnusson moved to Boston, he and I were neighbors.  Neither of us figured this out until about a year after we moved in - very observant.

I haven't kept in touch with anyone from our class, except Tonje Ulven.  I finally made the trip to Norway when I was pregnant with my first child and had as good a time as possible throwing up continuously ...

I don't think we're in Lynnwood anymore, Toto!
David Chamberlain By david chamberlain on 1/26/2007 8:08 AM

You can take the boy out of Lynnwood, but you can never take Lynnwood out of the boy. I would like to use this space to talk about my Olympic medals, my career as a rodeo clown, my adventures while skydiving, and my Nobel Prize. But the limited space available here precludes such stories; I will have to tell you in person next time I'm back in town.

Hello the Class of 87'. It's been 20yrs.
Christina Hurlbert (Friebel) By Chris Friebel on 1/17/2007 12:29 PM

Hello the Class of 87'.  It's been 20yrs.  Wow!  Can't believe it has been that long.

Times sure have changed since then.  I now live in Little Chute, WI.  I have been living since July 4th 1989.  I met my Husband on Sept. 29th of 1989 and we were married Nov. 24th 1989.

Our 1st child Shawntae was born Oct. 29th 1990 and sad to say we lost her on Dec. 12th 1990.  Our 2nd child Brett was born Oct. 15th 1991 and he is now 15.  Our 3rd child miscarried.  Our 4th child Zachary was born Jan. 17th 1995 and he is now 11.  Our 5th child Brady was born Jan. 15th 1997 and sad to say we lost him on Jan. 22nd 1997.  Brady and Shawntae were born with a skin disorder called Functional Epidermalitis Bullosa, which is very, very rare.  I am happy to say my other 2 sons are very healthy.

Though we have been through some ...

20 years! It can't be!
Michelle (Erickson) Toussaint By Michelle Toussaint on 11/18/2006 9:58 AM
Okay...I'm definitely in denial!  20 years?  It can't be!  I had drinks with Wendi Robinson last night and she told me about this web-site.  Yes, Wendi is still my best friend!  I'm looking through this web-site and seem to remember very little from high school.  Why is that?  Names and faces look very familiar but not much else.  Guess that's why I was a "wall flower".  So, what I have been up to the last 20 years?  Uhmmm...I went to Shoreline Community College and I started to work for a small financial management company that provided seminars to small business owners around the world.  I worked there for 14 year...as the company grew, I grew with it becoming their Program Manager/Director.  It was a great job as I was fortunate to travel to some amazing places in North America and Australia.  While working there I ...

Greetings Fellow Whiners
Matt Evans By Matt Evans on 11/9/2006 12:03 PM

I will jump on the bandwagon and say.... can't believe it's been almost twenty years.  I also agree with what Darren Watts said about not really thinking about your childhood until your kids start going through things that you remember going through.  It's exciting, fun, and excruciatingly painful all at the same time.

After ten years of moving around in the Air Force (Texas, New Mexico, S.Korea, North Carolina, Alaska), we ended up in Alaska and fell in love with it.  Then, since the kids were getting older, we decided that our family needed some roots to grow up on.  Thankfully, FedEx has a base in Anchorage and all of the pieces seemed to fall into place.  So after ten years of flying F-111s and F-15Es in the Air Force, I am now flying MD-11s all over the world with FedEx.  It's a great job and allows me the chance to see the world as well as plenty of family time at home to do all the stuff we ...

20 years...
Dave Tawatao By Dave Tawatao on 9/15/2006 9:08 AM
Well, some of you knew me by the name, "Al," but Dave was always my name to other friends and family. I suppose I was too quiet back then to speak up about it. Anyhow, twenty years do go by quickly, and as I read through the blogs I'm happy to see familiar names and faces and how well they're doing. For me, after MHS I spent a few years at Edmonds Community and ended up in the IT field. Been working at the UW for the past fifteen years and really like working on campus and the academic environment. I met the love of my life a couple years after high school and we have two beautiful girls. It's a great time in our lives - involving ourselves in the girls' school and starting to do more travelling (though we're at the kids' mercy). Anyway, that's my twenty years boiled down. It's been great to connect with some of you over the years. A shout goes out to Mike Fairbank and Dave Frazier. Would like to hear what you're all up to these days. And lastly, kudos to Jim and those who've done all the work ge ...
